I won't compose some lengthy, complex, profound, baffling, pretentious description of why I do what I do. The "why" is pretty straightforward:

I have to. It's an urge, a calling, maybe a compulsion.

I've tried a bunch of other stuff, and I didn't like it.

I have pictures in my head, and they have to come out.

The world can be an ugly, frightening place (especially if you watch the news too much): violence, disasters, disease, suffering...I want to create pictures & designs that will leave it a little more beautiful and full of life.

My own life has often been full of drama, trauma, crisis, turmoil, grief...life is short, sometimes very short. I just want to do what I think I was meant to do.

Apparently, I don't like money. ;)
